You are a master architect. You are laboring to be a part of building the Kingdom of God. It is an
incredible responsibility that you cannot achieve on your own and you were never meant to. All of these
chapters on priorities and stages hopefully are helpful, but at the end of the day it will need to be the
leadership of the Holy Spirit and our attentiveness to Him that builds a movement, not our labor.
In describing work in the Kingdom, Jesus gave this parable: “This is what the Kingdom of God is like: A
man scatters seed on the ground. Night and day, whether he sleeps or gets up, the seed sprouts and
grows, though he does not know how. All by itself the soil produces grain – first the stalk, then the head,
then the full kernel in the head. As soon as the grain is ripe, he puts the sickle to it, because the harvest
has come.” (Mark 4:26-29)
The principles described in this book are helpful tools for building, but that does not take away ourBuild Book
dependence on the leadership of the Spirit. Learn to hear the voice of God, the gentle nudge of
discernment, and the ways of wisdom. I consistently pray for wisdom and discernment. Only God sees
the full picture and only He knows fully how to accomplish it. We can learn by studying the Word and by
our own experiences but we still need Him.
